MISUXIN's Early Days
On March 31, 2008, we established Shenzhen MISUXIN Electronics CO., LTD, reorganizing Shunxin Electronics Trading, which had eight years of experience in electronics. The company was located near SEG Electronics Market, housed in what was then China's tallest steel-framed building. Huaqiangbei had fewer high-rise buildings at the time, but many people came here to seek opportunities, put down roots and grow their businesses.
Shunxin Electronics Trading, MISUXIN's predecessor, was established in 2000. It began as a small shop opened by Mr. Zhong's father, installing and dismantling household electrical appliances. Huaqiangbei's electronics business was flourishing, and Zhong Mingxian was working there as an apprentice. Although the work was hard, he saw opportunities. He took over Shunxin Electronics Trading from his father and began purchasing large quantities of electronic-component inventory, because in the component business, having stock was what mattered. Gradually, genuine products and fair prices helped him build a base of regular customers and a reputation in the industry.
One of our first thoughts after establishing the company was that we needed a brand of our own. Opening a company in Huaqiangbei used to be simple, with fewer complications than today, and few people thought about creating a logo. So we drew our first company logo by hand: green grass and blue sky. Like our expansive dreams, it held limitless hope and expressed our original commitment: putting customers first, acting with honesty and integrity, and always striving for excellence.
We had a few offices and cubicles, a fax machine and a color printer with a scanner. I remember the salesperson demonstrating that printer by making a very clear copy of a 100-yuan note. Although the office was small, we still made room for a reception area and the tea-making utensils that Chaoshan hosts consider essential. That was how we started our own company and began a new journey.
In its early days, MISUXIN mainly sold various surface-mount integrated circuits. For a new company, especially in Huaqiangbei in the 2000s, personal appeals alone were not enough. Only good products and quality service could retain existing customers and attract new ones.
At the time, Huaqiangbei was filled with electronics and supporting parts, with genuine goods and parallel imports of varying quality. Many people made their first fortune trading secondhand mobile phones, then quickly moved on when the market pushed them out. MISUXIN remained committed to genuine products, earning its place through no minimum order quantity, a wide product selection, ample available stock, reasonable prices and fast shipping.
Outside the window stood SEG Electronics Market, in what was then China's tallest steel-framed building, while Huaqiangbei Road bustled with people. It was not yet the Huaqiangbei of today, with its many high-rises and elaborate decorative lights, but it carried many people's dreams.
This is where MISUXIN began.
